CRTS Ltd Celebrates 20th Year!
In October 2019, CRTS Ltd celebrated its 20th Year in Business! It all started in 1999 when, having been employed in the refrigeration industry for many years, Tim Edwards saw a gap in the market and took the leap to set up on his own. The Company began from a small office at Tim’s home on Bodmin Moor - just Tim and his Ex-BT mobile service van!
Over the years, Tim has taken CRTS Ltd from strength to strength and through his reputation for quality service and word of mouth, Tim has organically grown his customer base, whilst also retaining many loyal customers and supporting their ever-increasing transport fleets. With this growth came the need for some extra pairs of hands! CRTS’ team of engineers and office staff has steadily increased to where we are today, with a team of 6 engineers and 3 office staff.
In 2004, the Company moved from Tim’s home to a small unit in Bodmin, then onto a larger single bay Workshop in 2010 and then again, in 2015, when we built our own purpose-built 3-bay workshop.
Our workshops are now able to accommodate our customers’ largest double deck trailers and coaches, which has proved invaluable. From the start CRTS Ltd was a sub-dealer for Carrier Transicold and awarded main-dealer status in 2012 for the Cornwall and South Devon area.
CRTS Ltd has now truly become a family business, with Tim’s Daughter, Charlotte, in the office as General Manager, Wayne, Tim’s Brother-in-Law, having been an engineer with the company for 18 years , Tim’s nephew, Matt, an apprentice engineer and, more recently, Tim's neice Millie, joinining the office team co-ordinating our bodywork repairs.

CRTS Ltd wins Carrier Transicold Recognition Award and Health & Safety Award 2018
We are delighted to have been awarded the Carrier Transicold PACE Recognition Award this year! This was awarded in recognition of our commitment and hard work within Carrier's UK Service Partner network.
To top it off, we were also awarded the Carrier Safe Award for gaining top marks in the UK for our Health and Safety practices and procedures.
A big thank you to all the CRTS Ltd team for their help with us achieving these awards!
CRTS Ltd awarded Transport Refrigeration Service Provider of the Year!
We are extremely proud to announce that we have been awarded TCS&D 'Transport Refrigeration Service provider of the Year 2017'.
This really is testament to all the hard work our team puts in day-to-day providing our customers with great service throughout Cornwall and Devon.
We were placed against some, much larger, organisations so are delighted that our small Cornish business achieved this National award.
We want to say a huge thank you to all our our customers that nominated us and helped us to achieve this award.

We are proud to say that we are certified to ISO 9001:2015, the international Standard for quality management.
This comes as a result of everyone at CRTS Ltd demonstrating a commitment to providing our customers with the best possible service and striving to meet and exceed their requirements through continual improvement.

Open Day Success for CRTS Ltd!
Following our Open Day we raised nearly £500 for Cornwall Hospice Care through Cream Tea Sales and a Prize Draw.
The day was a great success with many of our customers, suppliers, friends and family attending to support and celebrate with us. The free pasties and snow cones went down a treat, the sun was shining and we raised a total of £493.38 for the Hospice.
We'd like to extend a big thank-you to all our customers and suppliers who got involved with the day -supplying prizes for the draw, showcasing their vehicles and setting up trade stands.
F Gas Record Keeping Requirements
As from 1st Janary 2015 regulations concerning the usage of Fluorinated refrigerant gases encompassed the transport refrigeration industry.
The regulations make it a necessity for the contractor and owner to record specific information whenever refrigerant has to be recovered, added or removed and for each vehicle/ trailer over 3.5 tonne gross weight to have an annual leak test. Records of compliance must be kept for a minimum of 5 years.
CRTS Ltd are now able to offer complete leak testing and record keeping services, allowing you to comply with these new FGas regulations.
